MeiVac Celebrates its 15th Anniversary
San Jose, CA - August 12, 2008 - MeiVac, Inc. a leading provider of high technology sputtering systems and vacuum components celebrated the 15th year since its founding. Started in 1993 by Richard Meidinger, MeiVac initially manufactured vacuum components and vacuum throttle valves, as well as designing and building an array of custom vacuum systems. In 2000, MeiVac expanded its business by acquiring the rights to the Alcatel Comptech line of RF vacuum deposition systems that have long been workhorses in the Hard Disk Drive Thin Film Head manufacturing industry. Over the years, MeiVac has added to its system and component portfolio, and continues to be a leading supplier of tools for both high volume production as well as research and development applications.
