MeiVac Releases the High-volume 602 and 2480 Series Production Deposition Tools
San Jose, CA - September 10, 2007 - MeiVac, Inc. a leading provider of sputtering systems and components today announced the release of its 602 Series and 2480 Series production deposition tools capable of processing 200mm wafers. In response to growing requirements among leading Hard Disk Drive Thin Film Head manufacturers, MeiVac has re-designed its entire family of al2O3 sputter deposition tools to enable processing of wafers up to 200mm round. This release includes retrofit kits that will allow existing tools to handle and process the new, larger wafer format.

"During the past several years they have communicated to us that they needed to support wafers up to 200mm. We are pleased to announce the immediate availability of both our advanced Series 602 Sputtering Systems and industry standard HEDA 2480 RF Diode Sputtering tools will now support this new industry standard size. For customers with existing equipment, we are supplying a retrofit kit that reduces the cost of switching to the new sizes."
